Tutoring Program

What We Offer:

  • Access to safe, individualized, hands-on learning with a credentialed and experienced teacher

  • Collaborative goal setting

  • Academic support in reading, writing, and/or math to bolster success and confidence at school

  • Academic enrichment to cultivate a love of learning and discovery

How It Works:

  • Your child will be paired with one of our dedicated, caring teachers.

  • Our educators develop lessons tailored to your child's academic needs and interests.

  • Families sign up for regular 50 minute tutoring sessions. You can schedule between 1 and 5 sessions every week.

How We Stay Safe:

  • This service is conducted in a designated "tutoring room" separate from our classroom environment.

  • We sanitize the workspace and any shared materials between tutoring sessions.

  • Our staff and clients must wear masks, wash and sanitize hands, and complete temperature and symptom screenings.

Meet Our Educators!

Lori Schmidt

Lori worked as an elementary educator for St. Paul Public Schools since 2001. She has experience as a classroom teacher, Gifted and Talented Specialist, and after-school tutor. She received her Master’s in Education from the University of St. Thomas.

Julia Kallmes

Julia worked as a Children’s House guide at a public school in St. Paul for the past six years. She earned a Master’s in Education from Stanford University and completed the AMI Primary Training at the Montessori Center of Minnesota. Julia resides in St. Paul.
